We are thrilled to share the results of War Resisters League's National Committee (NC) election with you all, and delighted to welcome new and incumbent members to our leadership structure.
Nearly 200 WRL members participated in our most recent election online or by mail, sending ballots from Alaska to Puerto Rico, and contributing to a process that will guide the organization's work in the coming years. Among the most exciting outcomes was the new people who were moved to support our mission statement and contribute as new members and monthly sustainers. Participation in our election – from nomination and voting to broad outreach that mobilizes new members – has been a critical way for WRL members to contribute to maintaining our accountability to a grassroots base and building our representation and connections across generations, regions and movements.
