Barbara Barnes has worked in the New York City public schools as a teacher and as a staff developer guiding both teachers and students to resolve conflicts nonviolently.  She is active in the Education is a Human Right Campaign in New York City sponsored by iCOPE (www.icope.org), the Independent Commission on Public Education.
